It seems like the dolls that come with more accessories have less details. Definitely a good choice for her birthday present!
If you happen to have pets be careful as well. That's the reason the appropriate age starts at 4 years old. Watch out for the tiny parts, not suitable for toddlers. I also wanted to know if you tried to smooth the connection between the bottom and top players by shaving some of the top layers off. This blog is a personal blog written and edited by me.
I have always wanted to try to make one of these before but have not had the chance to try it out. She loves spending time with her family, visiting the local zoo and parks, as well as planning travel adventures. Yes, it was definitely appropriate for this year.
She’s already trying to plan next year’s, though – slow down, girl!
I finished by piping a few snowflakes on the board, and then making a “snow drift” in one corner to add her candle.
I had put a little extra effort into her cake. Elsa’s dress, but my daughter wanted it left just the way it was.
I was doing, and my husband had managed to keep her entertained in another room up until then. At this point, my daughter came into the room and started bouncing around excitedly. Frost the entire cake, using extra frosting to fill in any gaps or bumps, until you have a smooth dress. Next, cut about 2″ off the bottom of one of your cakes. Elsa’s dress (hold your doll up to the frosting to try and get a close shade match). Once both cakes are completely cooled, trim the bottom of each cake flat.
I was able to get the process down to just needing one bowl to bake in. Prepare the first cake mix according to the box instructions. That also makes it difficult to cut the top off the cake as the instructions say to do.
I simply filled the center with frosting instead of putting the doll topper in it. One of my sons wants a volcano cake and this shape will be perfect for it. Easy enough that a non-baker can make really exceptional cakes with no problems. Just butter and flour didn’t work for my cake recipe.
I decided to retry baking the cake after carefully placing some butter and parchment paper on the bottom. One box of cake mix would be good for a doll dress cake. Would definitely recommend if you need to make a shark cake.
I just had to add a round cake to the bottom to adjust for the actual doll height. Baked beyond baking time recommended & outside was cooked through but inside still like sticky batter.
I ended up cutting the whole center out & patched with a piece of the outside cake top & covered it in frosting so it looked ok in the end. Will give this pan one more try but so far very disappointed.

I had to add an 8in round cake underneath to make it taller since those "barbies" are 12in. Keep in mind that your cake won't fill this pan so factor that into your height. Somehow mine worked out even though it was at least 2 inches down inside the pan.
I did my best to keep the water out of the hair but given that you have to "dress" the topper with frosting, the hair has to be moved in order to wash it and quite a bit of it fell out.
I put it up in a basic pony tail and by the end of the party, most of the hair was gone. Anything you do that touches the hair causes it to fall out. The hair is very flimsy and doesn't stay in the head very well. It worked and it made the most beautiful skirt that looked like lace. Gently lay the paper towel on top of the frosting and rub it until the pattern appears on the frosting. Then, put a little bit of decorative frosting around the edges of the skirt. Another reviewer suggested using two different types of cake batter to get a nice marbled effect.
Get creative and use this cake pan's unique shape to make volcano, igloo and monster cakes, too!
Once your cake is cooled, unmold both sides, hold together with icing or your favorite filling, and pipe on details to bring it to life. In the summertime months, you can also use them to mold outstanding ice cream cakes. Aluminum's uniform heat conduction makes for an even, light golden finish, and it’s warp and rust resistant for commercial-level performance. It is time to prove that you are a good cook.
