Excellent for embroidering high stitch counts, it does not readily tear or separate. It is also soft and pliable, making it easy to hoop. Feel free to use more than one layer as needed. Ideal for many creative sewing and embroidery projects, including invisible needle turn appliqué and artistic scarves made out of thread and yarns.
You can safely write on this stabilizer with a water-soluble pen. Useful as an added stabilizer for buttonhole-making too.
This water-soluble stabilizer requires thorough rinsing in warm water for complete removal. Simply place one or more layers against the wrong side (back) of your project. Sew or embroider, and then remove by pulling the excess away from the stitches. Perfect for projects that are either heavy or light weight, this stabilizer can be used on its own or as an added layer with cut-away type stabilizers. This versatile tear-away is pliable enough to be hooped with the fabric but it can also be used as a floating layer underneath the hoop. This is a popular choice for fabrics that suffer from impressions left after hooping. It is best to float this tear-away under the hoop rather than placing it in the hoop with the fabric.
You will find many uses for this stabilizer, including projects featuring decorative stitches on the sewing side of the machine. Simply cut strips of this stabilizer and place on the wrong side (back) of the fabric when sewing decorative stiches. In addition, keep in mind the fact that this provides only temporary support for the stitches.
